  1. How we helped:

When Minsthorpe Community College embarked on a major rebuild project, a temporary school building was essential to ensure students could continue their education without disruption. Henry Boot Construction engaged Portakabin to deliver a high-quality, fully equipped learning environment to support over 400 pupils and staff while the new permanent school was being constructed.

The challenge was not just to provide safe, functional classrooms, but to do so within a tight timeframe and on a restricted site - all while ensuring a smooth transition for the students and teachers.

Originally planned as a two-storey building, the project evolved into a three-storey solution, designed in close collaboration between Portakabin and Henry Boot Construction. This approach maximised space efficiency while minimising site disruption, ensuring that the college's daily operations continued as normal.

Despite the project's complexity, Portakabin completed the installation and handover in just three months. The finished facility included 13 spacious classrooms, two fully equipped changing rooms, a staff room, meeting rooms, a storeroom, and dedicated welfare facilities to create a comfortable, modern, and practical space for both students and staff.

Portakabin provided a temporary teaching space for the DFE SRP Framework as part of the Minsthorpe Community Project. The temporary teaching space was delivered on time and to high level of health and safety whilst on site.
